[i]The Yuki Clan lived in the Land of Water. Some time ago, the country was in the midst of a civil war. In this war, different sides battled each other using ninja in combat, some of whom possessed kekkei genkai. After the war ended, memories of the gruesome battles still lingered in the minds of the people, causing wide-spread persecutions against those with the kekkei genkai. Because of this, the Yuki clan, whose members carried the Ice Release kekkei genkai went into hiding for their own safety. They are well known for their one handed seal ability which allows them to use two jutsu at the same time.[/i]

[i]Ice Release (Hyōton) is the combined nature transformation kekkei genkai of the Yuki clan. It allows the user to freely create and manipulate ice by simultaneously combining wind and water-based chakra. When the user releases their chakra, the surrounding vicinity becomes cold enough to cause snow to fall. The Ice Yuki create is extremley resistan to fire aswell, and only melts slight when hit by flames.[/i]

[i]The Yuki are usually found far and few apart ever since they went into hiding. When one of them does reappear, they show extreme control of their ninjutsu and the power that it holds. It's not uncommon for Yuki to hide their Hyōton until they really need it, so they are not hunted for their bloodline.[/i]

[i]The use of their seals is quite strange as the ability to do them with a single hand is quite useful in many situations. Able to do two jutsu simultaneously or even move their hands whilst they are restraint, means that even when they are being counted out, a Yuki is able to fight on. The yuki have also used this method for a long time, allowing their chakra network to become accustomed to it and expanding their chakra further.[/i]
